Online presence is even more important for brands that are not available in stores, and building a consumer following online requires careful cultivation and strategic engagement.

We were called in to create a social media strategy for Combi, a juvenile brand that is available solely online in the United States. Their online presence needed a refresh to connect with their audience, and we designed a plan that unified their online presence and showcased their products in a way that fit with their existing brand narrative. 

Combi is a fun brand with a bright orange logo.  They create exciting products in peppy color ways, and we wanted to help them capitalize on their cheerful approach to baby product design. 

We did an in-depth assessment of their online presence and did some careful research to better understand their target demographic. After meeting with Combi to understand their goals, we created a social strategy to tap into the lighthearted vibe of the company while at the same time focusing on their vision to partner with parents to help them care for their little ones well.

We created feature posts for their main products across social channels, ran advertising campaigns on Facebook and Google, wrote taglines for each of their product lines, and updated the layout and imaging on their website to create online continuity. 

Throughout the year, we developed specific social strategies such as addressing product features with the Combi Feature Spotlight or creating thematic postings around holidays and sales like the December Where Baby Dreams Come True or the February #babylove campaigns.

The visual focus of the designs were rooted in freshening up the bright orange that Combi is known for by featuring it with a palette of other bright colors that complement it’s product designs.  In order to elevate their catalogue of product photos on white backgrounds, we conducted photo shoots and also infused in-house designed backgrounds.  Social posts included product photos, videos we designed, and a collection of taglines that reiterated the Combi ethos throughout the online pages.

 Like many websites, Combi’s website featured duplicated menus, multiple versions of product pages, and unclear information that made the purchase process difficult to navigate.  After consulting with them about the products they were focusing on selling and the product descriptions they wanted to use, we addressed these issues and streamlined their buying process using their existing website system.  We also updated their graphics to provide a clear visual presence across both their website and social channels, and we included text and written content when necessary. 

The result was a clear brand identity and cohesive brand narrative and presence featured across all their online spaces leading to greater brand awareness and a website that made buying their fun products easy.
